It has a tiny head and a lightweight handpiece. The device is small, lightweight, battery-operated, and does not require a foot pedal. It features auto-reverse and torque control modes for instruments with continuous rotation, as well as reciprocation for WaveOne. Contraindications:
It is advised not to use the X-SMART Plus in patients who have had an implanted heart pacemaker (or other electrical devices) and who have been warned against using tiny electrical appliances (such as hair dryers, electric shavers, etc.).
When preparing a root canal that is extremely curved, X-SMART Plus should not be utilized.
Avoid using X-SMART Plus for dental procedures other than endodontics, such as implants.
